Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Kairo ("we," "our," or "the app"), developed by Richard Amare, collects, uses, and shares your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data Collection and Storage
Local and iCloud Data Storage
- Habit data (names, notes, schedules, completion entries) is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud, securely in your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit technology.
- iCloud storage allows your data to sync across your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID.
- Data stored in iCloud is encrypted and managed by Apple. For more information, see Apple’s iCloud Security Overview.
- We do not collect or have access to your personal data. Only you and Apple (per their privacy policy) can access your iCloud data.
- No authentication or user accounts are required beyond your Apple ID for iCloud syncing.
- No personally identifiable information is collected by us.
Third-Party Services
RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
- Used solely for managing Kairo Pro subscriptions
- Handles purchase verification using anonymized identifiers
- We never receive or store payment card details

Sentry (App Diagnostics)
- Used for bug fixes, crash reporting, and app performance improvement
- Collects non-personally identifiable diagnostic data:
- Device type
- Operating system version
- Crash logs
- Performance metrics

Data Usage and Sharing
How We Use Data
- Local and iCloud data: Enables core app functionality and, if enabled, syncing between your devices via iCloud
- RevenueCat data: Manages pro feature access
- Sentry data: Improves app stability and performance
Data Sharing
- We never sell or rent your data
- Data is only shared with RevenueCat and Sentry for their specified functions
- iCloud data is not shared with us or any third party (except Apple, according to their privacy policy)
- We may share data if required by law
Data Security
- Your data is secured through local device encryption and, if iCloud is enabled, by Apple’s iCloud security measures (including end-to-end encryption for most data types)
- We rely on RevenueCat and Sentry's security practices
- While we implement reasonable security measures, no method is 100% secure
Data Retention
- Local data remains until you delete it through the app or remove the app
- iCloud data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it through the app, your device settings, or your iCloud account
- For RevenueCat and Sentry data retention policies, please refer to their respective privacy policies
Your Rights
- You have full control over your local and iCloud data
- You can access, modify, or delete your data through the app. If you use iCloud, deleting data in the app will also remove it from iCloud.
- For data held by RevenueCat or Sentry, please refer to their privacy policies
- For iCloud data, you may also manage your data via your Apple ID and iCloud settings. See Apple’s privacy policy for more details.
Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be communicated through the app and App Store page.
